High Speed Chase Ends With Man Behind Bars

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A high speed police pursuit in Twin Falls County has ended with one person arrested.

The pursuit began near Burley at about 6:40 pm and ended at about 7:05pm Thursday night.

Police stopped the vehicle near Murtaugh at Highway 30 on 4425 east.

According to our reporter on the scene, the man was seen driving erratically in the Burley area.

When police caught up with the man and attempted to make a traffic stop, the suspect took off.

The driver then took Cassia County Deputies on a high speed chase through Cassia and into Twin Falls County.

reaching speeds of over 75 miles per hour.

After a 20 minuet pursuit, deputies were able to deploy spike strips on a rural road and brought the chase to safe end.

The suspect was later identified as Will Martin.

Martin was driving a small cab greenish-blue pickup truck with Oregon Plates but was carrying an Oklahoma License.
