Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) AAA projects 43.6 million travelers that will drive, fly, or catch a ride to spend time with family and friends for the thanksgiving holiday, up 0.7% from 2011.
Locals are gearing up to deal with the holiday rush.
"Defiantly get to the airport early, make sure you have everything you need and get there early. I'm going to be flying out about a day or two early so that I will be missing that holiday rush” said Madaline Friedrich, Traveler.
"If you're going to drive be prepared, because the weather is very changeable and can be very ugly” said Kathy Gaskins, Traveler.
AAA said, 204,000 Idahoans are expected to drive to their holiday destination.
