Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Even after the impressive snow storm we had late last week, plenty of people are still looking forward to spring. And that means stores like Home Depot will be hiring more employees for the spring rush.

Home Depot recently announced that it would be hiring 80,000 people nationwide. Spring is the time of year when Americans flood into home improvement stores like Home Depot. And to prepare for the coming spring fever epidemic, the local Home Depot store is looking to hire a few good men and women.

Cecelia Daniel, Store Manager for Home Depot in Twin Falls, says, "Currently we have 15 open positions, and at peak season, we'll have at least another 30 associates. So 30 to 40 associates we'll be bringing in for the spring season."

Daniel says Home Depot has an opening in flooring, and they just hired three cashiers. But they're expecting to hire three to five more cashiers.

Daniel says, "For seasonal, we're going to be hiring a lot for garden, lot attendants, building and lumber materials, to work down there. But we also have openings in hardware, right now, plumbing, which is also a good one for seasonal."

If you want to apply for a job at Home Depot, you can apply online, or come into the store and apply in person using their computers. There's also an information table in the store that outlines the positions Home Depot is hiring for. You can also call the store at 737-0731.

Daniel says, "We also have all of our openings online at careersathomedepot.com . They can go online and apply anytime. We've listed all those open positions there."

This Home Depot store will host a job fair at the Idaho Department of Labor office on Falls Avenue in Twin Falls. That's Tuesday afternoon, February 12th between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Feb. 11, 2013.
