How To Keep Your Pipes From Freezing Over

By Joey Martin

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Twin Falls Water Department would like to remind citizens that with night time temperatures reaching well below 20 degrees it’s time to take the necessary steps to reduce frozen water lines.

In the past few weeks the Water Department has received numerous calls from local residents complaining about frozen water lines.

Officials with the Water Department say this is an issue you can fight against.

They recommended that when you go to sleep at night, or when you leave your house for an extended period of time, that you should leave your faucets running at a low steady stream.

Doing this will help keep the lines clear and will also help insulate the frozen ground surrounding your pipes.
