How To Spend Less At State Parks

Tools

By Diane Dean

Hagerman, Idaho (KMVT-TV) If you love the outdoors and want to find great inexpensive ways to spend family days, we have an opportunity for you.

A new passport program allows you to get in to all the state parks for a year for $10.

Otherwise the day use fee is $5 per vehicle per trip. Two trips to the parks and it pays for itself.

Just within Thousand Springs, there are 9 different park units. There is a lot to see in the Magic Valley. This program is a great deal for families.

When you register your vehicle at the D.M.V. just ask them for a parks passport for $10. You can get two years for 20.

They will put a sticker on your window and you can explore as much as you want as many times as you want.
