BUHL, ID (KMVT) A small group of Magic Valley residents is learning how to do business with the government.
Speakers from the Idaho Transportation Department, the Idaho Division of Purchasing, and the Idaho Department of Commerce shared how to bid for contracts on the state and federal level.

Lee Velten, Program Analyst with the Idaho Department of Commerce's "Procurement Technical Assistance Center," says, "Trying to help Idaho based businesses find contracting opportunities, successfully bid on those contracting opportunities, and then successfully perform contracts."

Velten says the Procurement Technical Assistance Center helps people wade through the paperwork in the government bidding process.
