Hundreds Crack Crab For Local Basketball Team
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A local high school basketball team is benefiting from the community's love of crab.
The Twin Falls High School Junior Varsity Basketball team held its annual dungeness crab feed Saturday afternoon.
According to organizers, the crab was driven in from California Saturday.
A delicious way to help students offset costs endured from playing multiple sports or for families who need financial assistance.
"This is our eight year, we've been doing it for eight years now. It's a big success. I think we've quadrupled the number of tickets we sell, probably with less effort. I think more people just know that it's this time of year and they kind of flock in. It's just a credit to how the crab it is actually," says Matt Harr, Twin Falls Head Basketball Coach.
They expected to serve around 600 this year.
