Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Wednesday was Digital Learning Day across the State of Idaho and five educators from around the state were honored with awards from the Idaho Education Network.

One of those who received an award was the College of Southern Idaho's very own Instructional Dean, Dr. John Miller.

Dr. Miller didn't just receive the 2013 IEN Achievement Award but this inaugural award will be from now on known as the “John Miller IEN Achievement Award”.

Dr. Miller was chosen to be the recipient of this honor for his continues work in promoting Duel Credit online courses for High School Students in Rural Idaho communities.

“It’s an honor… I’m a little bashful about it because there are a lot of people involved, certainly at our institution and a lot of client High Schools that we work with. So there are a lot of people working towards the same end. But to be singled out and honored… it’s a wonderful thing and I’m very appreciative.”
Said CSI Instructional Dean and recipient of the IEN Achievement award, Dr. John Miller.

In Dr. Millers 8 years at the College of Southern Idaho, duel–credit enrolment amongst rural high school students have gone from around 400 in 2005 to well over 2,000 in 2013.
