Idaho 25 Reopens Near Eden Following Culvert Repair

By Paul Johnson

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) – After being closed for two weeks, crews completed repairs of a culvert and roadway after Idaho 25 west of Eden was washed out earlier this month.

Paving over the new culvert and finalizing shoulder work was completed Tuesday August 26 and reopened to traffic in the late afternoon. The culvert, located at about milepost 18.1 near the Idaho 50 junction, washed out in the early-morning hours of Aug. 12. The old 30-inch diameter pipe was replaced with a new 48-inch culvert.

Water has returned to the ditch to complete the water season. Work to further improve the culvert will continue later this fall, after the conclusion of the water season, with installation of a cement headwall and additional channel work.
