Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A letter was sent to members of an Idaho dairy industry group discussing media requests for tours and on-farm interviews.

The confidential letter from the united dairymen of Idaho is dated august 13th.

The letter states that there has been a recent heightened interest by media to film on-farm footage as a response to Idaho’s Ag-protection legislation.

It further says - "for protection of your farm and the Idaho dairy industry, we recommend that you coordinate any requests."

We spoke with the director of the Idaho dairymen's association about this letter. Bob Nearabout said, "We really encourage our producers to have media on their operations. We think it's important to showcase our operations. But, we also have to understand these are businesses. And for businesses to have a disruption with media, it's easier to know they have the ability to have someone to help coordinate it."
