Idaho GOP Leader File Suit Against Two Members Of The Party

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - The drama continues within the Idaho GOP party. Thursday embattled Chairman Barry Peterson filed a lawsuit against two other GOP members. He’s suing over the alleged scheduling of an illegal meeting of the States Central Committee for August 2.
On Friday, court records show that a motion was filed to dismiss the case. Fifth District Judge Randy Stoker is waiting to hear what the two sides want to do and has not scheduled any further hearings at this time.
The lawsuit comes just weeks after the Idaho GOP Convention failed to elect any new state party officers.
Peterson feels he is still in control, but several lawyers including some from the Republican national Committee say otherwise. Peterson says the lawsuit was necessary because governor Otter hasn’t resolved the issue.
