Idaho Senators Say No To Hurlock's Appointment
Boise, Idaho – Idaho Senators have rejected a Buhl Business owner’s appointment to the Idaho Fish and Game Commission. According to reports from Associated Press and the Idaho Statesman the senators had doubts about her hunting experience. Monday’s rejection of Joan Hurlock for the seven-member panel came on a 19 to 16 vote. Some area hunters said they felt she lacked experience necessary to help set Idaho wildlife policy.
Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter appointed the Buhl fitness center owner last June but the appointment needed the Senate’s blessing. Today’s debate went on for about 2 and a half hours. Comments ( |
