Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT) - The State of Idaho will receive $7 Million in stimulus money to expand its already very successful weatherization program.
South Central Community Action Partnership is one of six Idaho organizations that will receive part of that money.
At the end of June, the Gem State had already weatherized more than 2300 homes with stimulus money.
Nationwide, almost 32,000 homes were upgraded in June alone, the most ever in a month.
A recent study by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory says that having your home weatherized can save an average of $400 in energy costs in the first year alone.
