Incorporating Chance Into Live Performance

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) If you're looking for something "completely different," have we got a deal for you.

What happens when theater, dance, music, and engineering all happen at the same time? It's called "Chance: A Multi-Disciplinary Collage," which you can see for yourself tomorrow night at the College of Southern Idaho.

CSI Music Instructor Scott Farkas says, "The point is not necessarily for them to synch up, or not necessarily for them not to synch up. The point is for it just to be, and to see what happens. It's different every time we run it."

The audience even sits directly on the stage at the CSI Fine Arts Auditorium, while the performance takes place around them. You can see tomorrow night's encore, with a brief explanatory talk beginning at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but you can make a donation if you'd like.

Feb. 1, 2013.
