Instead Of Resolving, Try New Year's 'Revolutions'

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) Plenty of people make New Year's resolutions every year, but making them stick is the hard part.

That's why instead of simply resolving to change, many of us need to have personal "revolutions" instead. Here are some possible suggestions.

To paraphrase the Beatles, so you want a New Year's revolution? Here are some ideas. You can break out your old vinyl LPs and transfer them onto CDs by dumping them into your computer. Don't forget to buy a new needle, you'll probably need that.

You can finally start reading a book you've been looking forward to. One example is Clockwork Angels: The Novel by Kevin J. Anderson and Neil Peart, drummer of Rush.

You can pick up your favorite hot beverage, lots of choices there. Or to quote the song New Year's Day from the album "War" by U2, "nothing changes on New Year's Day."

Really, it's up to you. We hope you enjoy 2013, and have a wonderful year.
