Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Last week’s soaking created flooding issues throughout the Magic Valley, but it also greatly affected the beginning of the Jerome County Fair.
20 thousand people attended the fair this year.
Usually around 25 to 30 thousand people attend the fair.
They were down by about 17 percent in attendance this year.
After the first three days, residents were taking full advantage of the nicer weather.
"I think the Jerome Fair fared pretty well because everybody was still here; we were all ready to go. It was just at the beginning; towards the end of the week, it cleared up and we had a great three days," explains Kathleen Hite, Jerome County Fair Manager.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday were the three busiest days for the Jerome County Fair this year.
