Jerome County Passes School Bond

By KMVT News

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Jerome County passed the twenty four million dollar obligation bond.

It passed with a two thirds vote and will go towards remodeling the high school, middle school, and elementary schools.

18 million dollars of the bond will go towards Jerome High School.

This will help improve the cafeteria and relocation of the main office.

Superintendent Dale Layne says this is just the beginning of the process…

"With the bond passing, the work now begins as far as planning more, specifically because right now we just have conceptual plans working with architects, going out for bids for construction and those kinds of things, so there is a lot of work that will go out front before the actual construction will happen."
