Jerome Police Department Celebrates Its Latest Statistics

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Jerome police department is celebrating a little bit after the release of its latest statistics.
Since 2003, the city of Jerome has grown by about 39%.
During the same time period, staffing at the Jerome police department has
Grown by only about 18%.
And yet, the crime rate in the city of Jerome has declined by approximately 48%.
In 2013, the Jerome police department responded to over 14,000 calls, submitted over 1,300 police reports, investigated more than 900 crimes, and made just over 500 arrests.
Jerome City Police Chief Dan Hall Says,
"We're out there doing our best to make a safe environment for the community and we are pleased to be able to provide that function and we encourage people to interact with us and to support us."
