Jerome Students Tour Wastewater Treatment Facility
Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Jerome middle schoolers toured the Jerome wastewater treatment facility Thursday.
The tour helped students get a better knowledge of how the facility works.
Students were given the tour as an opportunity to discover possible career path choices.
"It gives them an opportunity to see there's more out there than just computers. Computers have developed what we have, the membrane technology, a lot of the pumps that we have, a lot of the solid filtration. It's a great opportunity for them to see another side of technology," explains Dade Pettinger, Jerome Wastewater Treatment.
The tour lasted about 20 minutes for the students.
They also were informed about the biology and chemistry that goes into cleaning the water.
