Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) With the Idaho primary just under three weeks away, voters all over the state are getting to know the people who are running for office. David Funk of Hansen and Clark Kauffman of Filer are both running for District Seat 25B in the Idaho House of Representatives.

Jerome resident Charles Simpson says, "We have so many candidates for one office, wondering how to choose. So I figure, well, come out and listen to them."

At the candidates' table, incumbent Jerome County Commissioner Cathy Roemer, sits next to her challenger Sam Harris. Current Jerome County Sheriff Doug McFall was also at the forum, with Dan Chatterton, who is running against McFall.

Local voter H.O. Nix says, "I've known Doug McFall for years, worked with Cathy Roemer on the Commissioners Board. And so we decided to come down and see what we could learn."

Jerome County Commissioner Roger Morley has already served two years, and is hoping to be re-elected for four more. County Prosecutor John Horgan is running unopposed in his re-election bid. The forum was co–sponsored by the Jerome Civic Club and Citizens Protecting Resources.

Voter Bill Wilson says, "A big one is our taxes and stuff. Where's this money going to? The jail, I'm interested in what they're going to do about that. And the streets and the water department, and so forth."
