Job Fair Connects Employers, Job Seekers

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Idaho Department of Labor hosted a job fair for military veterans today.

About three dozen businesses showed up at the Twin Falls National Guard Armory to make contact with potential workers. An Idaho Department of Labor spokeswoman explained that the job fair was also for non-military job seekers, as well.

Workforce Consultant Marjorie Schmidt says, “If anybody has missed out on the job fair, and they haven't been able to make it by, they can stop by the Department of Labor. We'll sit down with them and see what we can do about finding them a job.”

Schmidt indicates they have eight full pages of job listings right now. The Idaho Department of Labor Office in Twin Falls is at 420 Falls Avenue, across the street from the College of Southern Idaho. You can also call 735-2500.
