Jog-A-Thon Raises Money For Sawtooth Playground

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Sawtooth Elementary School in Twin Falls decided to make its third annual Jog-A-Thon a family affair this year.

They took over the Twin Falls High School Track this afternoon. This was their annual fundraising event, and they collected money for a new playground.

Julie Schnoor with the Sawtooth Elementary Parent Teacher Organization says, "Today we just wanted to be a big family event. We want family, fun, food, exercise, just bringing people out to support the school and have a good time."

The students gathered pledges, the PTO auctioned off gift baskets, and a good time was had by all. The school hoped to raise $10,000 from this effort.

If you didn't get a chance to donate, you can call the school directly at 733-8454. All donations are tax deductible.
