Bellevue, Idaho - ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Bellevue’s hometown hero, Kaitlyn Farrington, just got back into the states after a snowboarding trip to Argentina. Her first stop, to be the Honorary Grand Marshal of this year’s Bellevue Labor Day parade. You have to wonder, what’s next for Farrington now that’s she has a gold medal in her pocket?

“I’ve done the Olympics, been there, and it’s good this year I just get to take off. I’m going to do the Dew Tour, and X-Games, for sure, and then kind of ease off on the contests and hopefully ride a little powder and just enjoying snowboarding again. And it’s funny that you said ‘Gold in my Pocket’ because I literally do have it in my pocket,” said Kaitlyn Farrington.

Before the parade, kids not only lined up to see their favorite Olympian. This is what they call “The Candy Parade." Farrington offered up her own treat after the parade with these words of wisdom.

“As a kid, I believed I could do anything and I believed I was going to go to the Olympics and win gold someday. And so I think the sky’s the limit really, for everyone,” said Farrington.

Golden words of advice from this hometown hero, Honorary Grand Marshal at her hometown parade.
