Kids Jog Their Way To Help
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Some local school children are learning about exercise in a unique way.
Bickel Elementary kids participated in a Jog-A-Thon to raise money for their school. It was all a part of a senior project for a Twin Falls High School student. About 300 kids were split into two groups – Kindergarten through 2nd graders, and 3rd through 5th graders – to make the event manageable. Jog-A-Thon organizer Chelsea Stevens says,“Just kind of making it a habit. So it's not, I have to get healthy, it's I'm already living healthy, so I can be more healthy in the future.” Students will turn in the money they raised next Monday, October first. Stevens is hoping they'll raise about $2,000. The class that rakes in the most money will get free Jamba Juice smoothies. Sept. 26, 2012. Comments ( |
