Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT) - Crews are working on installing the first sustainable landscape project in the Magic Valley area.

The project is being constructed in front of Moxie Java at The Kimberly Nurseries site; the goal is to capture storm water run-off and use it to supply an irrigation system to water the adjacent landscaping.

The project will also include a permeable paver patio; this allows rainfall to pass through and be collected instead of adding to additional storm water run-off which is causing overloads to the city's sewer infrastructure.

According to Dave Wright, Kimberly Nurseries, "We're limited right now in what we can do because of the city's storm sewer in this area of town being at or above capacity so this helped me put to the forefront this idea of collecting this water and reusing it ourselves."

Wright expects the project to be finished in a couple of weeks.
