Kinyon Road Fire Now Estimated To Be 75,000 Acres
South Of Castleford, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Kinyon Road Fire has never stopped growing, according to BLM Spokeswoman Kyli Gough. The blaze is now estimated to be 75,000 acres in size.
150 personnel from southern Idaho, Utah and California are all assisting with the fire. Area agencies include the Sawtooth National Forest and of course, BLM. Gough says the wind's been a major problem on Sunday. In fact, due to the thunderstorm activity and strong winds, they halted aircraft activity for those fighting the flames. Officials still expect containment to be approximately 7 p.m. Sunday. Homes are not being threatened. Keep updated through kmvt.com and updates on Fox 14 at Nine and KMVT at Ten. Comments ( |
