Late Night Roadwork Set For Washington Street South
UPDATE, September 12, 3:20 p.m. - Due to a chance of bad weather, the paving portion of the project has been moved from the evening of September 12 to the evening of Monday, September 16. The work is expected to begin at 11 p.m. and to end at 6 a.m.
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Road work on Washington Street South will have motorist looking for an alternate route in the later evening hours.
From north of the Washington and Addison intersection down to Shoup Avenue will be closed Wednesday and Thursday night.
Crews will be milling up the road surface and repaving it to help extend the lifetime of the roadway.
Due to the Washington and Addison intersection being one of the more busy intersections during the day–time hours Crews will be working over nigh to complete the work.
They are scheduled to get going at around 11 pm and finishing up at 5 am.
“What we done in the city and I think what probably citizens are noticing is that we have isolated our road construction into quadrants within the city. And a lot of that has been either complete removal of roads and replacing all the pavement or milling it down and putting a new layer on top.”

The city of Twin Falls is asking all motorists to avoid the work during those early morning hours.
For residents that live in the area, local access will be maintained thought the duration of the project.
The entire project is scheduled to be complete by no later than Friday.
