The Magic Valley Law Enforcement Memorial Service was held this afternoon at the Twin Falls City Park.

The annual event is held in conjunction with police week, which runs nationally from May 11th to the 17th.

The day is meant to serve as a way to show appreciation for law enforcement and also pay tribute to those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Keynote Speaker Supreme Court Chief Justice Roger Burdick addresses the crowd and stresses the importance of the event, saying "In honoring those fallen I thank you, the men and women in law enforcement today for your ongoing sacrifices."

Others in attendance included Twin Falls Mayor Don Hall, County Prosecutor Grant Loebs, and Regional Director Mike Matthews.
The event concluded with recognition of Idaho's fallen officers, including 9 in total from the Magic Valley.
