Lightning-caused wildfires scorch land in Southern Idaho
SOUTHERN IDAHO (KMVT-TV) The Grindstone Fire started around 4:30 Saturday afternoon and is burning east of the Saylor Training Range.
Bureau of Land Management officials estimate the blaze to be more than 21–thousand acres. Containment was expected Sunday evening. A second blaze known as the Hot Springs Fire started a little later Saturday evening. The blaze is is burning south of Bruneau and is more than 10–thousand acres. Estimated containment is Monday evening. Although these blazes were weather–caused, cooler temperatures and lighter winds benefitted the crews. Comments ( |
