Jerome/Gooding, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Most of the City of Jerome, along with parts of Jerome and Gooding counties went dark this Wednesday Morning after a “line trip”. That, according to Kevin Winslow with Idaho Power. At 7:21 am 4000 customers lost service in Jerome and Gooding. That number grew to around 8,000 a few minutes later. The outage extended from 200 south to 625 south and 400 east to 500 West in Jerome. That same power outage affected customers in Gooding that are 2300 East to 2400 East and 3700 South to 3800 South.
An hour later, at 8:29 am, the power company had restored service to everyone. Two crews were dispatched. At this time there is no distinct reason the power outage occurred other than a line tripped, officials say.
