Lions Club Directs Traffic For Money
Filer, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Lions Club is helping folks out at the fair and raising money.
Members spent the Sunday directing traffic in the parking lots. The Twin Falls Lions Club was chartered in 1935. Its goal is to make preventable blindness a thing of the past. "We just purchased new equipment and so keeping the maintenance up on those and keeping them certified and keeping the training up for the members is going to be important in the next couple of years," said Tim Miller, Twin Falls Lions Club. The organization provides eye exams and helps those in need purchase eyeglasses, collects and recycles used eyeglasses for underdeveloped countries, conducts eye screenings at local schools, among other things.
