Little Mermaid, Jr. Comes To Twin Falls

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) A Disney classic comes to the theater scene Friday evening at the CSI Fine Arts Center.

Area youngsters are set to take the stage in The Little Mermaid, Jr.

The performers not only sing and dance, but they accomplish these feats on wheels.

All 65 performers will be sporting Heely's, or shoes with wheels as the Broadway show used them to simulate the movement of water.

"It's almost identical to the movie. They put the Jr. tag to it because it's really fantastic, New York figured out that sometimes it's hard to younger races to sing in the ranges that adult voices do. So the Jr. tag means they're taken those races and putting them in singable keys for younger voices," adds the director Kim Kohx.

The four through 12 year olds perform Friday and Saturday nights at seven. Tickets cost $8.

Meanwhile, the older cast takes the stage on January 24th, 25th and 26th. It will cost you $10 during those dates.

You can purchase tickets from cast members, the Twin Falls Reformed Church as well as at the door.
