Local Authorities Have Safety Plans For Magic Valley Regional Airport

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Local law enforcement tells us they have a security plan set if a situation similar to Friday’s LAX shooting was to take place at the Magic Valley Regional Airport.

Authorities say both the Twin Falls Police Department and the Sheriff's Office train regularly on scenarios that put others in danger.

"Both the Twin Falls Police Department and Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Department would respond to that. We don't go into great detail about the tactic because that would compromise the plan, but there is a plan that's set aside by both agencies to respond if there is a live shooter at our airport," explained Josh Palmer, City of Twin Falls.

If you see any suspicious activity, the Twin Falls Police Department asks that you report it immediately to law enforcement.
