Local Dairy Farmers Help BSU Athletes
Boise, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Magic Valley dairy farmers are raising money for Boise State athletes.
Local dairy farmers join other dairy farmers throughout the state at every BSU home game.
You'll find anywhere from 150 to 200 of them tailgating in the parking lot.
Their goal is to raise money for the BSU athletes' Summer Scholarship Program.
"Within the dairy industry and our friends, it's community supporting community. But, as a group we get together knowing that we're supporting the Boise State football players with their summer scholarships," said Patty Southfield, Southfield Dairy, Wendell.
Since the Bronco Dairy Boosters began it's raised over four–hundred thousand dollars.
The end of the year banquet with a dinner and auction is when the majority of the funds are raised.
Alltech and J.D. Heiskell and Company are also sponsors.
