Local Fire Chief Reflects Back On The 40 Years On The Job
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) 40 years later and the Jerome Fire Chief is still fighting fires, one fire at a time.
Joe Robinette has fire fighting in his blood. After all, his brother was a fire chief in Missouri. And this weekend not only did Joe celebrate his 40th year with Jerome, it was also his birthday. "I feel great. When I got here in 1972 I thought I'd get on for a couple years and uh, here we're 40 years later. I'm still here, still fighting fires and love it. So I guess I'll be around for awhile, yup," says Fire Chief Joe Robinette. Robinette was surrounded by friends and colleagues at the party. He says he loves his job and loves people, proving to be reasons why he comes to work each day. Comments ( |
