Local Glee Club Gets Ready For Second Showcase

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Glee clubs are the latest trend in high schools across the country.

In the fall, we told you about a glee club at Canyon Ridge High School and now students are ready to perform for the public.

Students at canyon ridge high school are ready to sing and dance that is.

Kiefer Starks a senior and lead performer in the glee club synergy is excited and preparing for the clubs second showcase.

"I think this is going to start a really big tradition at our school like at Twin Falls High School. The students are going to come out and support us as show kids” said Kiefer Starks, Synergy member.

More than 20-students are in the club and inspired by the fox hit show Glee.

"Anything that is worth doing it's worth doing well. If you work hard and know your parts and in a group like this you can accomplish a lot which is part of our name synergy. Work together to accomplish something that can't be done by one person” said Karen Goodrich, Choral Director.

"It's going to have Tarzan, we're going to have a big melody from Tarzan, newsies, some Glee in there, and an 80's mash up."

Students coming together to express themselves through song and dance.

If you would like to attend the showcase, you can this Saturday at the High School.

Showings are at 2 p.m and 7:30 p.m., tickets are $5 per person.
