Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) "Knowing that the people of Staten Island with some of the food that was distributed was distributed to two restaurants and they cooked them Thanksgiving with it," said Adam Newberry from R&A Trucking.

More than thirty three thousand pounds of relief supplies made it to Staten Island just in time for Thanksgiving.

"I couldn't have asked for anything better. It went off beautifully. The donations were wonderful. Caring businesses that stepped up and donated and the citizens of Southern Idaho," said Regan Newberry.

It's estimated that residents and businesses of Southern Idaho donated nearly forty thousand dollars worth of relief supplies.

"It was full. We had two feet left in the trailer. It was full from ceiling to floor and clear to the back door. It was pretty neat," said Regan Newberry.

As R&A Trucking's semi traveled to Staten Island, they received a little bit of help along the way.

"He had gotten into Nebraska and when he crossed one of the scales they bypassed him and the sign ahead said thank you because they knew he was with the relief effort," said Regan Newberry.

Thousands of pounds of supplies that were sent from right here in Southern Idaho to help New Yorkers recover from a damaging super storm.
