Local Hurricane Relief Headed To New York

By Brandon Redmond

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) R&A trucking worked the past two weeks to fill one of their semi trailers full of relief supplies for hurricane sandy victims. The semi trailer was located behind Albertsons at five points where citizens were able to donate supplies to benefit the hurricane victims in Staten Island.

Donations came pouring in and in less than two weeks, the trailer was packed full of relief supplies. The R&A semi and trailer left Friday evening to make the twenty–four hundred mile trip to Staten Island. R&A is covering the expenses for the driver and fuel to get the semi across the country.

The R&A semi and trailer is expected to arrive in Staten Island on Tuesday. Congressman Michael Grimm of Staten Island has made arrangements for volunteers to help unload the semi and trailer. We will have more on their trip east next weekend.
