Local Law Enforcement Cracking Down On Drivers

By Andrew Reed

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Idaho Transportation Department is partnering with law enforcement agencies across the state to crackdown on seat belt safety.

Officers will increase enforcement of traffic laws and cite drivers or occupants who aren't wearing seat belts.

"Seat belt enforcement is something ISP is really passionate about. Unfortunately we see far too many fatalities, or serious injury crashes as a result to people not being properly restrained or not being restrained at all” said Lieutenant Kevin Haight.

Studies have shown seat belts prevent serious injury or death in the event of a crash.
