Local Library Looks Into The Future

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Twin Falls Public Library is asking for your help in determining what it should do in the future. They're planning ahead for the next five years, and out to 20 years from now, as well.

So far, many patrons like what the library is already doing. But they'd also like to see more programs, more book clubs, and just more of everything the library has to offer.

Twin Falls Public Library Director Susan Ash says, "I think a lot of it is just more of the same. They really like the library, they've asked us to make sure that we keep more books. And also follow the new technology, we do have e-books now, and to continue with that."

Ash says the library can hold about 200,000 items, so they have to use their space very effectively. She says audio books on CDs are very popular, along with DVDs. Ash says they're continuously weeding old items out of the collection, and getting new items in.
