Local Man In Court On Home Invasion Charges

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A local man is on his way to the penitentiary for his involvement in a home invasion robbery that occurred last year.

Luis Alfredo Sotelo was involved in the August home invasion of an elderly Buhl couple last year.

According to court records, Sotelo played the role of lookout while 3 other individuals raided the house, tied up the homeowners at gun point, and stole thousands of dollars worth of property.

For his role in the crime Sotelo was in a Twin Falls County Courtroom to receive his sentence.

Sotelo was handed down a unified sentence of 22 years.

With 4 of those years fixed and 18 indeterminate.

He will also have to pay over $13,000 in restitution to the family.

And Due to the fact that Sotelo is not a US citizen, following his prison term he will be deported back to Mexico.
