Local Reaction To The "Infamous" Idaho Weather
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) March 20th officially marked the beginning of spring time here in Idaho.
But apparently nobody bothered to tell Mother Nature that news.
As residents in Southern Idaho begin looking forward to green grass and sunny skies.
Tuesdays freak winter storm put a stop to all that wishful thinking.
With blowing snow and high wind whipping threw the valley.
We wanted to get a feel from local residents on what they think about all this “infamous” Idaho weather.
“You know, I would rather have just two seasons. It seems like we wait to get from winter to summer – summer to winter and it just seems like the fall and spring are longer and nastier.” Said Twin Falls resident, Jeff Johnson.
“I’m ready for spring! I’m tired of the cold weather when I’m walking back and forth to classes. It makes it kind of suck.” Said Heyben resident Vanessa Johnson.
“The freak weather, I’m a little used to… but I thought we got past this. I thought we got into sunshine, I mean if you look at today… this is what I was starting to hope for.” Said Twin Falls resident Billy Reaber.
For the rest of the week, temperatures look to be in the low to mid 50s' with a very little chance of precipitation.
And next week is shaping up to be a good one.
You can expect temperatures to reach the lower to mid 70s', with clear skies and very little wind.
