By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Xavier Charter School in Twin Falls is celebrating a very high honor to start off the new school year.

In a report released last month by the Idaho Department of Education, Xavier scored in the top three percent of all high school juniors when it came to the SATs.

The average score in the State of Idaho is a 1369.

Over at Xavier, their juniors scored an average of a 1566.

That's 197 points above the state average.

And for Debbie Burr, the Chairperson of the School Board, it's a major accomplishment.

"As a board member, I'm extremely proud of all of the hard work that has gone on here... both from our faculty and from our administration and also from our students. They work really hard here," she says.

Xavier is set to start the school year next Tuesday.

Currently they are in the process of registering their students.

They do have a few open spots open in all of the grades.
