Local Students Hold Food Drive
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Students at a local elementary school are doing their part to fight hunger in the Magic Valley.
It's all part of the annual Perrine Elementary School food drive. So far this year the students have collected 2, 600 cans that will be donated to the South Central Community Action Partnership. Right now they're tied with last year's total and there are still four days left. This year they also decided to add dog food to the drive. "Basically, the kids bring in cans every morning. They count them in class. We keep a running total and then they gather here in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby," said Emily Thomas, Perrine Elementary School, Twin Falls. The class that collects the most cans wins a pizza party. If you'd like to donate stop by the front office any time this week. Comments ( |
