Local Students Raise Money for Families in Need
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Students at Canyon Ridge High School are raising money to help local families.
Pennies for Possibilities is an annual event. The students donate five or ten dollars to buy one or two hour lunch passes. Last year, the program raised around seven thousand dollars. This year the students raised more than twice that. “Our student council is going to go out and purchase gifts, school supplies, clothes, food to give to local needy families,” said Brady Dickinson, Principal, Canyon Ridge High School. The families are either nominated by students or faculty. The first four advisory classes to buy both lunch passes got a donut party compliments of student council. Comments ( |
