Local ed programs get financial boost
TWIN FALLS, ID (KMVT) This morning some teachers and students at Twin Falls High School were on the receiving end of some special checks.
A former Twin Falls High School student who has run in the Boston marathon for the last two years donated $1,500 to the cross country team. The community orchestra based at Twin Falls High got a check for $1,000, and the band program is now $500 richer. Linda Watkins, Executive Director of the Twin Falls Education Foundation, says, "Another donor recently made a donation to help a student in need with a dual credit opportunity at CSI. Some really awesome things are happening, and we're really happy to be a part of it." The Canyon Ridge High School cross country program also got a check for $1,500, along with $500 donated to the O'Leary Middle School band program.
