Lost Wages Night Combines Games and Fundraising

By Alexa Tieu

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) It was all fun and games for the Optimist Club's Lost Wages Night.

The event, held at Canyon Crest Events Center, featured Bingo, Blackjack, Texas Hold 'Em and a silent auction.

Attendees paid for raffle tickets and door prizes, and could play any game they wanted.

No gambling was really being done, but it was all to help children in our community.

Barry Knoblich, Membership Chair for the Twin Falls Optimist Club explains, "All of our fundraisers, we try to do something fun...rather than going out to the community and asking for donations. We would rather do something like this where everybody has a good time and they can spend some money and help the kids."

Even the College Of Southern Idaho's national champion volleyball team came to help out as dealers at the tables.

This is the 37th year the Optimist Club has hosted Lost Wages Night.
