Make-A-Wish Fulfills Wish Of Local Girl

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Throughout six-year-old Alysen's treatment for Wilms' Tumor, she dreamt of having a puppy to play with and comfort her.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation of Idaho and the local Petsmart fulfilled her wish and donated 2,500 dollars to her on Tuesday.

Alysen's wish is a unique one because a wish to have a pet is only granted about once a year in Idaho.

Alysen is excited to have a wish dog to care for and love for years to come.

The donation from Petsmart will help fund veterinarian services, obedience training sessions and supplies for Alysen's new puppy.

"We're just happy that Alysen was able to get her puppy Cinder and that they can just create those moments that she can be inspired through Cinder throughout the rest of her life. Home Depot, they had a lot of volunteers come in and help build a fence that they needed for Cinder's yard, so that Cinder would be safe," explains Laura Caryl, Petsmart District Manager.

Alysen's mom says that she and Cinder have been inseparable since the day she got her.
