UPDATE: Man Arrested After Pursuit In Jerome County
UPDATE: Jerome County, Idaho (KMVT-TV) What started as a traffic stop this afternoon, became a high speed chase through Jerome County.
Idaho State Police Trooper Michael Wendler tried to pull over a motorcyclist who was driving recklessly on I-84 near Milepost 165. Doing speeds of more than 100 miles per hour, the motorcyclist took Exit 165, initially pulled over and then took off through a field. Trooper Wendler wasn't able to follow. Meanwhile, Jerome County Sheriff's Deputies and Jerome Police set up a perimeter in the area. A trooper witnessed him on 100 West, Bob Barton Road. The motorcyclist entered a yard of a private home, dropped his bike and tried to hide. Eventually officers found him in a wooded area. The motorcyclist is Indiana resident Nicolas Jensen. The 27–year old was arrested and charged with felony eluding, resisting and obstructing, concealment of evidence, criminal trespass and expired registration. Jerome County, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Law enforcement agencies arrested a motorcyclist at the corner of 200 South 100 West after eluding deputies. The incident happened around 3:30 Saturday afternoon and the motorcyclist was taken to jail around 4 p.m. We will have more information as it becomes available. Comments ( |
