Man Pleads Not Guilty For Fundraising Scam
Buhl, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A Buhl resident pleads not guilty to theft by deception.
Police said Michael Wayne Holley lied; telling people his daughter had cancer in an attempt to raise money. Posing as a parent of a child being treated for leukemia in another state. He held a car wash to raise money for her fictitious treatment. Police said, they discovered the child doesn't have leukemia, or is ill in any way. His next court date is to be determined.
